International Outreach
Street Beat’s outreach trips to Jamaica includes academic tutoring, dance workshops, and block concerts. The residents in the area respond enthusiastically and many lives are touched and relationships established for ongoing work.
The kids began building a special relationship with children in Southside, located near downtown Kingston back in 2006. We are hoping to raise funds to support a visit by these youth to the island on an annual basis. The resulting reactions by the youth to their experiences helped us to determine that this issue of the plight of others could become a driving force for youth to better themselves.
We are happy to collaborate with City Life Ministries & Joseph Daniel Ministries International (JODAMI) to help in galvanizing the talents, gifts, abilities and entrepreneurial spirit of Jamaica Nationals in building the country of Jamaica and improving the quality of life for all – particularly the less privileged. In 2006, Street Beat Jamaica was launched with the help of City Life Ministries.
